Where Did You Come From, Where Did You Go?

You think these thoughts just form inside these pockets?

Sure, the flour comes from grinding wheat, the sugar is squeezed out of cane stalks, hens lay the eggs and the salt is evaporated from the ocean - it's all hard work! I guess paper comes from trees, but whatever, our point is, we overheard that thoughts which rise in the air, might congregate near the tops of mountains. These thoughts, however, are chameleons, coming in many disguises.

Most of the good ones around Providence, RI were on the crests of waves and lonely graffiti, and we snatched ‘em all up. (not sorry.) So, Polina and Lauren decided to head south to find some more. Lauren manned just below the Tropic of Cancer, while Polina hovered just above the Tropic of Capricorn, both with that classic excuse, “The moon made me do it!”
Polina watched as this tiny cloud formed between the peaks of two mountains: Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu. If you climb high enough clouds slowly appear in front of you. The words that linger in the air after people speak eventually evaporate, then reform in a different order. You have to capture the thoughts from them before they disperse again. It's not easy; Polina was able to skip her CrossFit class this day.

Checked our teeth, no thoughts there.
You may take for granted that the sun and moon rise in the Eastern sky every day or night, but that wasn’t always the case. The Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon were built by the Teotihuacanos almost 200 years ago, and later became a worship place of the Aztecs and contemporary Mexicans.
On the spring solstice when the sun and moon share equal time in the sky, the pyramids are of most significance. Lauren was able to climb to the top of the manmade mountains along with the crowds. Looking down on the Pyramid of the Moon, you could see thoughts rise up like heat from the stones, if you looked carefully enough. They were in the harmony on Earth observed by ancients.
Too bad most of the thoughts were about what to eat for dinner. Anything but spaghetti AGAIN.
